Hmmm... not so luscious today. I was planning on baking a fabulously wonderful lemon cake, fending off praise of how brilliant the cake, me, and just about everything in general was, but my cake didn't really work.
Can you see what the problem is? Yep, I had to leave the bottom on. The cake just was not coming out of the pan in one piece. It wasn't stuck to the bottom, it was just collapsing when I tried to ease it out.
It did taste yummy though, it was crunchy on the outside and lovely and moist in the middle. The lemon drizzle I did with it I didn't like as much as lemon icing, so I will make sure to ice it next time. I was planning on posting the recipe today, but I'll wait until I get it right.
