And hey presto!
So these seeds were sown on the 21 of July, and I took these photos this morning, today is the 4 of August, so that's pretty much two weeks on the dot from seed to decent sized seedlings. It will be really interesting to see how they grow, most things I treat with a bit more care, poking little holes in the ground with my fingers, covering them gently with soil.
This is either water or rock melon.
And these are corn... from popping corn seeds... I know it's ridiculous, but I am half kind of expecting some type of pop corn plant from them. How cool would that be?
These seeds are just ones I kept from fruits and vegies that I had bought, that way, I know I am planting things that we like and do eat. The seeds were all dry, they'd been in the cup for a few months I'd say, but a week or so should be enough to dry them out.
I'd really love to see some other gardening experiments. If you take some photos and let me know, I'd love to post them on here to share with everyone.
