Growing Apples: Dwarf Tropical Anna

So this is our apple tree. I was very excited to come across a tropical variety, and I have taken really good care of it, mulching, feeding and watering regularly. And it's been growing nicely, but no apples. I've spoken to some friends in the Brisbane area with this same tree, and theirs are fruiting already.

I think my plants sense my enthusiasm and enjoy tormenting me with a lack of produce.

I do think, however, that these photos are of flower buds... and we all know that flower buds mean fruit. Technically anyway.
