I found this apple on the ground this morning... I knew it was coming, looking at it yesterday I could see it was yellowing, and that can't ever be good. I am a bit sad about it, I had high hopes for this apple, it was the only one on the tree, and I guess that's it for the season.
It did make me think though, of what Felix did to the figs last year.
At the same time that I bought this apple tree, I also bought a fig tree. The fig tree went super well and soon developed three little figs.
I was very excited, and of course showed them to everyone, including the boys. You are meant to teach children all about nature, aren't you?
The day after I showed them to the children, Felix picked them. "Look mummy, I pick them for you".
Three perfectly formed half grown figs. It was a bit hard to be a good mummy at that moment.
