It's Been Raining All Year

Well I tried very hard again this year, but once again, I failed to see the New Year in...

I meant to, we had a lovely barbecue, a few drinks and some movies, but by 11pm, I was done. I did outlast the boys though. I told them at the beginning of the evening that they could stay up as late as they wanted. This was all very exciting for them, and had the unexpected effect of relaxing them so much that they fell asleep much earlier than usual.

I don't normally do New Year's Resolutions, but this year I have made two.

Firstly, I am going to lead a more organised existence, with a view to gliding swanlike around my showroom-ready house, effortlessly impressing friends and family alike with my homemaking skills.

And secondly, I have promised myself I will grow the most marvellous fruit and vegetables, in the most fabulous garden beds, thereby becoming an object of envy and admiration amongst friends, family and fellow vegetable bloggers.

On that note, Happy New Year everyone!

No point having New Year Resolutions that are TOO easy, eh?

Oh how lovely :) Thanks Farmgirl, what a nice comment to make... I'm sure I have a very long way to go in the fruit and vegetable department though!

Hazel, you just made me feel all warm and fuzzy. What a lovely thing to say :)

And Mark, yes, lofty resolutions, and what is interesting, I am not sure which one is the farther fetched ideal!

Happy New Year. I love your resolutions. I like to think I could become a "domestic goddess" but then a good book comes along and I'm history. Hope you have a fun year. Cheers, Judith

Hee hee, it's day five and my house is showroom like. Bedroom doors closed, no playing in mine.

I'm getting clean and tough.
