Rowing with the Vegetables

Finally a dream realised. I have long, long sought after the perfect row, and this my friends, is about as good as I think I can ever hope to achieve.

Fellow bloggers, I give you my rows.

Of something that I forgot to place a name tag next to.

Is there an Olympic sport for vegetable rowing? If there was, you would certainly win a gold medal with your mystery rows.

I would love perfectly neat rows of vegetables. HH hates them, he likes the permaculture principle of polyculture, so much so that not only do the pests have problems finding the produce, but so do I!

Yay!! Three cheers for the rows.

Hip hip hooray
Hip hip hooray
Hip hip horray.

You know if you've done it once, you can do it again. :)

Nice one Ali! Beautiful. How many hours did that take you and mutterings? :)

I have to post my version of 'rows' for you. That is, two or three in a rough line..then clump clump clump as I've obviously gotten impatient and just dumped seeds in! :) Really must invest in seed tape...

Oh and looks like brassica to me!

Nice one Ali - is 'name that seedling' game on?

Ali, I'm so proud of you. This is a sight to gladden my heart! And of course you know those seedlings are members of the Brassica family -is it too much for me to hope that they are PSB???

I vote for brassica too! If I make nice straight rows I get to the harvest stage and don't want to pull one out and upset my fabulous arrangement.

I am a closet fan of straight rows - I can't accomplish them so I have given up on them and don't even try anymore. Yours look amazing. I have small hands that help in my garden so even when planted, they get patted and raked so if they come up at all I know they will be strong.

How did you achieve that Ali? you must have been out there with a ruler! I have never achieved straight rows like that - I am impressed They are all standing straight and sturdy too like soldiers!

Very impressive! That little guy down the back looks like he's had a bit too much to drink last night though, you better give him a talking to.

There's one in every group, hey Kat...

AA, thank you so much for your fabulous admiration of my brilliantly straight rows... I'm not quite sure how I achieved it! I think they will be quite healthy though - I've reclaimed the chicken coop for a winter vegetable garden. That's four years of chicken manure and scraps to feed the garden! I imagine that winter is a big growing season for you too?

ElsieMay, my boys are a little older than your little one and have a garden of their own to grow things in. Felix grows carrots and Luka grows tomatoes... and they love and pat them and generally only the strong survive!

Mrs Lottie, I hadn't thought of that... uh oh...

Mark, I hope you know that these rows were directly inspired by you... and perhaps also Takaeko, he's got some pretty impressive rowing techniques of his own.

Wendy and Mrs Bok, I've no idea what they are, but they do have that brassica leaf, don't they... I guess we'll soon see.

And Mrs Bok, these are my first, and possibly only rows... I'll never stick to them!

And thanks LBM!
