So I am not entirely convinced that I'll be able to keep this up for the entire season, but today, I am able to post about something that I genuinely enjoy about winter.
You've all heard me complaining about it being cold; I'm cold, it's cold, the house is cold, and while I haven't started complaining about it yet, I'd really like to add that my workplace is blooming cold too.
Now I know that most of you think I'm a little nutty, but when nothing is heated properly and we don't wear the proper clothes, well, it's cold.
But not today. Up until now we have had quite a few cloudy and rainy days, and my complaints have been louder than ever, because that's just not what winter is here. It doesn't rain in winter. What's the weather thinking, here it rains in the summer months
And while it's true that it really does get a little chilly here from time time, mostly what we get are lovely clear warm days... blue skies for as far as the eye can see, warm and mild temperatures, and a sun that toasts you up and shines all day long. Over 300 days a year if the tourist brochures are to be believed.
So there you go lovely fellow bloggers, that's my Winter Wednesday Without Whingeing.

Yes. A beautiful blue. We have winter skies like this too - and in January it's hard to believe that so cold can be so blue when we have blue in summer too.
Esther
Love your blue sky, we had a little bit of blue today but the sun was as warm as the fridge light.
Oh, the Winter Blues! Imagine how much you would whinge if you lived in the Arctic or Antarctic! After all the tourist promotions do say that Queensland is beautiful one day and perfect the next. Surely advertising agencies don't lie, Ali. Thanks for playing the Winter Wednesday game with me.
Oh no Hazel, the boys' father is in advertising and as far as I know - they don't even exaggerate :D
We have not had too many beautiful + perfect days in recent times I must say, however I cannot complain as today certainly was beautiful and I have strong hope for the next. And how could I not join in, I love joining!
Judith warm as a fridge light is one of the most fabulous expressions I have ever heard... I am absolutely going to have to slip that into conversation sometime...
and Esther, hot or cold, blue skies are certainly a sight to behold... oh dear
Oh I am loving that blue...
That is a fabulous shot of a fabulous blue sky Ali!
And here's me thinking your post was going to be about how much you loved Banana leaves...
Your Winter weather sounds like what our Summer is supposed to be like.
That's more like it1
Well that's just not fair. I don't think you should be allowed to play the winter game. You don't even get a proper winter! I've run out of things to enjoy about winter so I'm not playing. Instead I've started a countdown to spring. Now go buy yourself some thermal underwear - if you can find a shop that sells them in Brisbane. Hmmm I think I'm sounding a bit grumpy this morning;)
I snapped a photo of the sky yesterday too Ali, it was a beautiful day here in Sunny Brissy! :)
Wow! That's a beautiful blue sky. (And it's hard to believe it's Winter... thinking about the snow and Very cold temps we get here!) ;-) Ready to create a garden chair with your boys, yet??
Oh Veggiegobbler, I hear you! I have exactly one more thing that I can think of that I like about winter, and I am thinking that just maybe, it might be something you like too... but after that, well, I'm just going to start having to make stuff up.
GJ - and today! It really was perfect the next :)
Shady Gardener, for some reason I volunteered to make my elder son a cubby house for his birthday next month... so I am now thinking that the chair was really not such a bad idea at all!
